For the British Pub traditionalists, we recommend checking out the ‘Pug’ family of pubs – The Fat Pug and The Royal Pug in Leamington Spa, The Black Pug in Warwick, and The Lazy Pug in Shipston-on-Stour. Priding themselves on being as ‘pubby’ as possible, they define themselves as ‘a pub that serves food, not a Restaurant that serves drinks’, so if you’re a pub-purist this could be the spot for you. Naturally, they are also very dog-friendly!

If quirky and cosy atmospheres are more your speed, then consider checking out The Drawing Board. Decorated with vintage games consoles and comic books and serving an array of bar food inspired by locations around the globe, you’re sure to get a unique pub experience every time. They have also opened their own bottle shop (also available online) selling artisanal liquors, Japanese Whisky and craft beers, alongside an assortment of other boozy creations.

Along the River Leam, just outside of Leamington Spa, sits The Red Lion pub in Hunningham. With a large garden and peaceful countryside surroundings, The Red Lion is the perfect spot to soak in the summer rays whilst enjoying a cold drink or perhaps one of their classic Sunday roast dinners.
