Shopping in Leamington

One of the draws of buying a house in Leamington Spa is the proximity to a fantastic range of independent shops. As Leamington Spa estate agents we believe in supporting our local businesses as not only do they help to strengthen our community spirit and bring local character to our high street, but we also love knowing that we are directly supporting a member of our neighbourhood. We are lucky enough to be local estate agents, with a team who have lived in Leamington Spa and the surrounding areas for many years, and we want to share some of our favourite independent shop recommendations.

Eco-Friendly Shops

For the environmentally conscious shopper, a visit to the Zero Store is a must. Founded in 2018, Zero was created as an alternative way to grocery shop without plastic waste, with a focus on locally-sourced products and an affordable price point.

Zero stock staple items such as pasta and rice, refillable eco-friendly cleaning products, coffee, toiletries and snacks – a one-stop shop for all of your plastic-free cupboard and household essentials! If you’re looking to reduce your single-use plastic waste while also getting your hands on some fantastic local products, then we recommend heading to Russell Street to pay Zero a visit.

Independent Department Stores

Located on Warwick Street is another shop with plenty of variety – Berylune. Describing themselves as ‘the pint sized department store’, Berylune have an excellent range of homeware, stationary, plants, gifts and accessories. If you’re in need of a unique gift or a leafy new addition to your home, then this is the place to go. They also stock some great seasonal items, for example over the Christmas period they supplied a lovely range of decorations and festive items, including recycled glass baubles, wrapping paper and stocking fillers.

Leamington Eateries

Leamington Spa is also home to a plethora of unique (and delicious!) eateries. For example, on the Parade you can find Tea Society, the first bubble tea room in Leamington Spa. The Steamhouse specialises in hand baked bagels and sweet treats such as brownies, cookies and doughnuts. For your caffeine fix Procaffeinate is the place to be, with a wide range of beverages, breakfast and lunch fare, alongside indulgent cakes and baked goods.
